On September 28, 2018, a ceremonial rock dedication was held in the Borough of Glen Ridge to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Robert's passing. However, this event was about more than just remembering the devastating loss of his death, it was to Honor and Celebrate what a truly amazing man and officer Robert was, and will always be! His genuine love and good nature touched the hearts of many of those close to him, as well as those whom he protected and served throughout his law enforcement career. The area in which the memorial rock is situated began with a tree that was planted across from the Glen Ridge Police Department in 2014, a year after his passing. A bench and paver walkway followed. On a beautiful, clear day, Charles and India Webster were walking under the footbridge of the lower Glen Hill, a favorite area for the township residents and often where their track team ran when they saw a rock that they thought would be perfect to place in front of the tree that was planted in Robert's memory. In his speech during the ceremony, Charles recounted how after finding the rock, they realized they would not be able to move it alone, he noticed something shining in the water which turned out to be a $100 Bankcard! Charles stated that he felt it was a sign from Robert as a thank you. Charles also said, "He was one of my best friends...he was one of my wife's best friends...bravery does not do him justice, he was an incredible human being. I met him in 1991, he would stop by sit on the porch, have lunch and just talk..." Charles then enlisted the assistance of GRPD Officer Rob Roberts and Michael Rohal the Borough Administrator to have the rock removed from the brook area, and placed in front of the tree as a memorial dedication to Robert. On April 9th, 2018, the 5 year anniversary of Robert's passing, the rock was removed from the brook and placed in front of the tree. 

On September 28th, 2018, the rock was unveiled with an inscribed plaque dedicated by the Glen Ridge Police Department as a forever testament to honor Robert's life. We would like to again, extend a special "Thank-You" to the Glen Ridge Police Department and all of those that made this possible!
